Home wind power — the attractive way

Via the Alternative Consumer, a nice find: The Windspire wind generator from Mariah Power. Just a couple feet wide, but 30 feet tall, the company boasts 1900 kwh annually with regular 12 mpg winds.

That’s pretty good power output and it’s attractive. I could see this sprouting up in residential neighborhoods across the country. Especially at under $4,000, this model could have a pretty decent payback.
